Danny Moves On To The Next Adventure
It is with great sadness that Fred and I have to announce that Danny Coyle will be moving on to new adventures in the summer, and leaving the Groove Organic as its full time bass player.
It's an exciting time for Danny - his family is about to expand and the patter of tiny feet is imminent! New opportunities are also potentially opening up for him on the career front and he needs to concentrate his time on both without the distractions of a full time working and travelling band - which is where we have always planned for the project to lead. He is still the drummer with Adenland and Bass player for Ned Kelly's Ambush, so he won't be disappearing from the live music scene altogether by any means. And of course, he'll always be on the subs bench for us.
Fred and I wish Danny all the best for the future, and express our thanks for his input and hard work over the last year. Getting a band up and running is always the toughest part, the most effort given for the least reward. He's been an absolute rock this last year, despite numerous minor setbacks (see my previous notes on the beginning of the Ambulance tour!) and has been great fun to work with on stage. His relentless musical positivity and sense of humour will be greatly missed.
Danny isn't quite finished with us yet though - and he'll be with us at our first gig at the newly re-opened Reindeer in Norwich in April, and we'd love to see you all there to ensure he gets a proper send off from the band.
